3 Stretches and Strength Exercises to Help Prevent Hip and Knee Pain

Warm weather has a way of getting Quad Citians out onto hiking and biking paths, along with golf courses, soccer pitches, gardens, and ball diamonds. 

But, doing too much too soon can cause joint pain, irritation, possible muscle tears and injuries to the lower extremities.

ORA Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Suleman Hussain, and ORA PT, Becky Burke, share and demonstrate 3 exercises to help prevent knee and hip pain that can lead to possible muscle and joint injuries.

Dr. Hussain says the secret, even for athletes in top shape, is to stay loose and strengthen the core to help avoid pain and possible injury from the hips, through the leg muscles joints.
