Coach’s reason for recognition: “Leah Burich has tremendous natural talent for golf. Her golf swing is one for others to learn from for accurate, consistent shots,” coach Tina Johnson said. “She place in the top 10 in state last year as a sophomore, and she has great potential for state this year. Her scores have been in the high 30s for most 9 hole rounds with scores of 76 and 77 so far for 18 holes as well. Her calm attitude has been beneficial to her success.”

Student’s goals: “I’ve always wanted to be a cop,” Leah said.

Student’s reaction to the honor: “I wasn’t expecting it at all, so I was pretty shocked.”
