Dealing with Chronic Pain

Chronic pain sufferers who are not able to enjoy their favorite activities have cause for hope. In this podcast, ORA Orthopedics Pain Management Surgeon, Dr. Sanjay Sundar, talks with veteran Quad Cities newscaster, Dan Kennedy, about the latest technology and treatment options to treat chronic pain.

Dr. Sundar says those aged 18 or over who have endured pain for more than six weeks should see a physician.  To determine the best treatment, he asks patients what they would like to be able to do, if their pain was diminished.

Dr. Sundar says pain management treatment continues to make enormous strides in offering options for chronic pain sufferers, especially those who live with debilitating back pain. Options include injections, physical therapy, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, or spinal cord stimulation.
