Dr. Berry is an outstanding physician and surgeon. He has helped me find relief from my chronic back issues. With his help, I've been able to return to, and continue my physical activities. For a time, epidural shots helped. When the the back issues got to be limiting he helped me weigh out the surgical options. The results of the surgery he preformed have been a welcome relief and benefit.

This Dr is amazing. He zeroed in on my problem that two other physicians missed right away. He explainwd clearly what the problem is and how to fix it. I felt such relief after talking with him. Thank you, Dr Berry, I am so happy to have you on my care team.

Awesome experience. I went in for a back issue and explained I was also having knee pain probably arthritis in both Knees. Expected to hear make another appt. then x-ray appt. then another doctor's appt. Dr. Berry had x-rays done while I was there and even gave me a shot in the worse of my knees. Dr. Barry is amazing! After my car accident injury I was in excruciating pain due to a cervical spine injury that was misdiagnosed by ER. When getting in to see Dr. Barry he explained everything that was going on did same day MRI and had surgery scheduled right away to fuse broken vertebrae in my neck, I had immediate pain relief after surgery! To say I was nervous going into surgery would be an understatement but thanks to Dr. Barry and his amazing staff and staff at unity point Rock Island I am on the road to recovery!

I wanted to see a doctor for my spinal issue. In my past experience other doctors will have their PA’s do all the work and then you get 2 minutes of their time while they tell you what you need to do with limited ability to ask questions. They are hurried and appear as if you are wasting their time because they need to get to the next patient. This was NOT the case with Dr Berry. He talked to me about my issue, went through options, answered questions and was thorough. He put me at ease with a treatment plan that was mutually agreed upon. I was so happy to have conversed with an actual human being who was trying to help me! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate his approach and would suggest him to anyone.

Dr Berry listened to everything my wife and I had to say about the problem with my back. He evaluated my MRI and explained what needed to be done. Surgery was done expertly.

I’m a retired teacher and wrestling coach of 35 years. I abused my body and did things that several adults told me that I shouldn’t. I wrestled for 13 years at a high level in High school and college, before taking on coaching. I was a hands on type coach until my late forties. I have had several injuries and aches & pains! Last year, I developed a bad static nerve pain that altered my life ! I tried therapy, pain pills, chiropractic care , continsone injections and nothing cured the pain I was suffering. I chose Dr. Berry to treat me, he immediately got me in for a MRI and two days later performed L-2 & L-3 vertebrate surgery. It was amazing relief without any rehabilitation needed! Had my initial visit with Dr. Berry to explore options/treatment for my lower back discomfort the other day. He was patient, asked a lot of questions, performed a couple of initial tests, etc. He did not jump to any conclusions, ordered some PT, an MRI, and scheduled a follow-up meeting. Liked his energy and his ability to outline a treatment plan that I am comfortable with.

Dr Berry performed a minimally invasive 2 level lumbar fusion on me and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He was very thorough, took time to answer my questions and listened to my concerns. His office team was super with responding to questions and calls and helping with needed paperwork. 10 out of 10 experience!

Dr Barry has done several of my surgeries. He is excellent, honest snd upfront with your cares. My most recent surgery was unplanned and an emergency. Dr Barry again was honest about what I was facing and as far as my daughter and I see it, he saved my life. This was a bad infection in the blood. Thank You Dr Barry. Dr. Berry is an excellent surgeon who does nothing short of amazing work. He made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout my injury. I had a total disc replacement between my C5-C6 and it honestly feels as strong or stronger than before my injury. I work in medicine myself. I’m sure he can recite what he says to patients in his sleep. He seemed rushed. I forgot to ask, but it would have been cool to actually see my MRI films. He answered my questions but seemed to have one foot ready to get out the door. He did say surgery was not his first option based on my presentation. That made me happy!

I was referred to Dr. Berry for neck/shoulder pain. I had several surgeries over the past few years and was not wanting another. Dr. Berry came into the room, totally familiar with my case and explained what he saw and what he recommended. He was patient, kind, and answered all our questions. I had the surgery in Sept. and am so much better! I believe he diagnosed me correctly and saved me from much worse problems in the future.

Dr. Berry came to the exam room well versed on my radiology test results. He explained my options and made referrals to meet the needs of my case. While he was not able to perform the extensive and complicated surgical procedure required, he provided me with options to address my pain and directed me to medical facilities that would be able to perform surgery should I need/want it in the future. He shows a high level of compassion in his interaction with me.

Dr. Berry performed a miracle on my messed up back. From the time he was recommended, through surgery and then follow up he lives up to all the great comments that led me to him in the first place. Professional and caring with great staff. I hope I never have to have another back surgery but if I do, I would only use Dr. Berry.

I visited Dr. Berry after well over 12 years of back pain but earlier this year I pulled my back so bad that my L4 L5 were slipped and pinching the nerve down my leg. I couldn’t walk without a cane or a walker. End result is that Dr. Berry got me in and took care of me. I was nervous before meeting Dr. Berry but after meeting him and hearing his knowledge of my problem gave me confidence in putting my back in his hands. I was up at walking after 2 hours of my surgery, without a cane or walker. I haven’t felt this good in well over 12 years and can now sleep over 6 hours in bed without my back locking up on me anymore and no pain during the day any longer. Thank you Dr. Berry for the AMAZING job on relieving the pain I no longer have.

I had an appointment with Dr. Berry, I was about 15 minutes early and they got me right in. After I was examined he explained everything to me so I could understand stand what I was needing done.

I went misdiagnosed for years by numerous providers and therapists (15+) for severe low back/sacral pain. I saw Dr Berry who listened intently to my history and coordinated a diagnostic SI joint injection for me. It has been life changing and I can’t thank him enough for the time he spent with me. After 3.5 years of crippling pain I finally have my quality of life back and working full time again.

Highly recommend Dr. Berry. He has now done my neck and recently my lower back. He doesn't do unnecessary surgery. He is straight forward, explains everything and why things need or not to be done.
