At ORA, our physicians and team members remain deeply committed to our mission of delivering the highest-quality orthopedic care to our community. As an independent, local physician led practice, we believe patients benefit most when their care is guided by local providers who live and work in our community.

This decision reflects our values: local care, local physician-led leadership, local decision making, and a continued focus on what matters most—our patients. ORA will continue to provide emergency and trauma coverage at UnityPoint hospitals in Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline, as well as same-day access through our Urgent OrthoCARE walk-in clinics, which are open 7 days a week with evening hours.

We are proud to remain a practice that is independent, physician-led and locally rooted, ensuring that our community has access to specialized orthopedic care delivered by providers who are part of this community. ORA Orthopedics has been here for decades, and our commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care has never been stronger.

For more than 60 years, ORA Orthopedics has been proud to partner with Genesis Health System, working together to care for generations of families across our community. However, with the transition of Genesis into MercyOne, we have experienced a shift in values that no longer aligns with how we believe exceptional orthopedic care should be delivered.

As a result, effective December 18, 2025, ORA Orthopedics will no longer provide orthopedic emergency or trauma coverage at MercyOne Genesis East Hospital in Davenport or MercyOne Genesis Illini Hospital in Silvis. This was a very difficult decision, but one made with a clear purpose: to remain true to our mission of putting our patients and their care first.

ORA’s commitment to this community has not changed. We will continue to:

Deliver the most advanced and compassionate orthopedic care at all of our clinic locations.
Provide orthopedic emergency and trauma coverage at UnityPoint hospitals in Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline where patients can receive orthopedic emergency care from an ORA physician.
Offer same-day orthopedic access at our Urgent OrthoCARE walk-in clinics, open seven days a week with evening and weekend hours. No referral or appointment necessary.
