Traffic Update: I-80/Middle Road Interchange Closure Beginning July 21
Patients traveling to ORA Orthopedics’ Bettendorf campus should allow extra travel time beginning Tuesday, July 21, due to a temporary closure of the Interstate 80/Middle Road Interchange (Exit 301).
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT), the interchange will be closed during the following times while crews install the Gateway Bridge arches over Middle Road and continue work on the new Interstate 80 bridges:
- Tuesday, July 21, 6 a.m. – Friday, July 24, 6 a.m.
- Tuesday, July 28, 6 a.m. – Friday, July 31, 6 a.m.
- Tuesday, August 4, 6 a.m. – Friday, August 7, 6 a.m.
Weather permitting, the interchange will reopen each Friday at 6 a.m. and remain open through the following Monday.
During the closures, patients should follow the posted detour route or use I-80 Exit 298 to I-74, then take Exit 3 for Middle Road to access our Bettendorf campus. Patients familiar with the area may also wish to consider alternate routes, such as 53rd Street, depending on traffic conditions.
As construction continues in the area, please watch for posted signage and allow extra travel time when traveling to your appointment.
