Effective December 18, 2025, ORA will have an exclusive partnership with UnityPoint Health – Trinity hospitals and as such will no longer provide orthopedic emergency or trauma coverage at MercyOne Genesis East (Davenport) or MercyOne Genesis Illini (Silvis) hospitals.
ORA Orthopedics is an independent, local, physician-led practice. These decisions were made to stay true to ORA’s mission of local leadership, local decision-making, and patient-first care. The partnership with UnityPoint Health Trinity aligns with ORA’s values and commitment to advanced, high-quality orthopedic care.
Effective December 18, 2025, ORA Orthopedics will no longer provide orthopedic emergency or trauma coverage at MercyOne Genesis East (Davenport) or MercyOne Genesis Illini (Silvis) hospitals. This means that if you go to a MercyOne Genesis emergency room with an orthopedic issue, your orthopedic care may be limited as you may not have the full orthopedic specialty care provided by ORA.
If you want to be treated by an ORA physician for an emergency or trauma-related orthopedic condition, you should seek care at UnityPoint Health – Trinity hospitals in Bettendorf, Rock Island, or Moline, where ORA continues to provide full orthopedic coverage.
You can also visit ORA’s Urgent OrthoCARE walk-in clinics, which are open seven days a week with evening hours and do not require an appointment or referral.
Yes, definitely! As a patient you always have the right to request to see an ORA physician for orthopedic follow-up care. Inform the ER staff that you want to be referred to an ORA provider – or better yet simply call us for an appointment or walk-in to one of our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics. You do not need an appointment or referral to see us.
ORA Orthopedics will continue to provide orthopedic emergency and trauma coverage at UnityPoint Health – Trinity hospitals in Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline. Request the EMS provider to send you to an UnityPoint Health Trinity hospital so you receive the best orthopedic care.
No referral is required! Patients may schedule directly with ORA or walk into any of our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, which are open seven days a week with evening and weekend hours. Referrals from primary care physicians, specialists, and ERs are always welcome — but not required.
