Very short wait time! Dr. Winston very personable and competent, much appreciated. Thanks
Hello Quad Cities, I am a safety minded person so, I avoid any activities that’d have chance of accidental injury. And needless to say, I felt pretty good about myself not having a surgery for over sixty plus years. But accidents is no respector of person, my newly acquired puppy flew in front of me and tripped me. I landed on my left elbow and crushed, broke in 4 areas. I had two surgeries by Dr. Jonathan Winston; 1st one to repair with a plate and screws and 2nd to remove metals. I was not tolerating metals in me and was stressed out because of it. But another surgery is almost unbearable. Dr. Jonathan Winston at ORA who did surgery on me listened carefully and explained to helped me to make the best decision for myself without a guilt. It’s been 4 weeks and am now on a way to recovery. If you ever need a Doctor/Surgeon on elbows and hands, I highly recommend Dr. Winston and his team at ORA. I am blessed to have him to do surgery on me. God bless!
My son had surgery on his hand/wrist and had a great experience with Dr Winston and all his staff at ORA. We were informed of everything he was going to do and answered all our questions. Very good bed side manner. My son was very nervous and they did everything to make him as comfortable as possible in this situation. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. They went above and beyond!! And for this we thank you very much!!
ORA is a great place to go when you have gotten hurt and need to know what needs to be done to get back to as normal as possible. I have Dr. Jonathan Winston and he has been very up front with me. Dr. Winston doesn’t give you false hope he tells you what to expect and I for one like that very much.
Saw your PA, but you confirmed what she said in my visit. Thanks for the visit.
Dr.Winston repaired my broken tibula & fibula and was very professional and educational.
Found them to very caring and very knowledgeable!
With carpal tunnel surgery necessary for both wrists, I’m thankful I connected with Dr. Winston! He was able to complete the procedures endoscopically, allowing for minimal scarring and quicker recovery. Smooth and easy process with excellent customer service!
I saw Dr. Winston at ORA Orthopedics yesterday. I like ORA because the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. They are treating me for a broken arm and they get you in and out and on your way in short time. I would recommend ORA to anyone needing treatment for broken bones.
Fast, responsive, efficient, great communication skills, excellent PT (Anthony) for Achilles Tendon and excellent hand specialists (Dr. Mann and Dr. Winston).
I went to see Dr. Winston following an ankle injury. He was prompt and compassionate. He explained the extent of my injury and also carefully talked through what he would do to repair it surgically. He carefully explained the risk of various complications such as infection and educated us on how best to mitigate those risks. His staff was warm and friendly. I had to go have my temporary splint changed prior to surgery due to rubbing and they we welcoming and kind despite me not having a scheduled appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Winston and his team.
The personnel were excellent. Friendly & extremely competent. The only complaint is the removal of my rings (to provide xrays and the surgery) was not done rapidly and painlessly, due to the lack of appropriate tools and experience. Everything else was top notch.
Dr Winston preformed my urgent surgery, a broken tibial plateau fracture. I was not familiar with Dr. Winston, his accomplishments or references. Dr.Winston has a pleasant, straight forward, honest bedside manner. He explained everything pre-operatively and answered all of my husband's and my questions. Though I'm still in the recovery phase of my accident/ surgery, I am more than pleased with Dr. Winston, his nurse Tiffany and staff, thus far. I highly recommend ORA Dr. Winston and staff. Thank you.
Surgery to remove bump on bone of finger. This is the second finger he has had to remove a growth from. I would highly recommend him. Excellent stitches. It’s hard for finger stitches to stay in. Never had any issue.
Dr Winston is personable and professional. I am very happy with results thus far...
Dr. Winston is a very nice, friendly, person. Had a finger surgery & was very conscientious about making sure everything was good.
Dr. Winston has great bedside manner very friendly and a great doctor

I had Dr. Winston help me with my very painful thumb arthritis. After attempting a few cortisone injections with no relief, he then did the surgery on 6/9/21 to remove the arthritic bone and replace it with one of my tendons. (CMC ARTHROPLASTY). He is such a kind and patient dr! I recently went back on 7/27/21 for a follow up with xrays and I'm doing extremely well!! 2 days prior to that appt, I had some very devastating personal news dealt to me and I was a crying mess. He sat and listened to my whole story while offering empathy and kindness the entire time. I won't forget that!! In a time where so many negative things are happening, it's refreshing to see and feel such compassion in a Dr.! You too will be in wonderful hands with Dr. Winston!
Always professional in every way.
Got in before my appointment time, all around a great experience
He knew exactly what was wrong. Took care of the problem right away and sent me on my way.
My daughter broke her thumb playing softball the walk in clinic was great and Dr Winston saw her shortly to ensure proper care

Follow up check for pain after having broke my wrist a year ago.
I didn't have much a wait at all, the staff was great. I saw dr. Winston and he was great. I felt very comfortable. They will also be doing my surgery, I very much trust them.
I had a tumor in my wrist plus my hand would go numb. This made crocheting difficult. He removed the tumor and did a carpal release at the same time. Crocheting is fun once again. He's a great doctor.
I was very pleased with how Dr. Winston explained in detail the entire process and future possibilities and outcome.
I just had my check-up for my left shoulder replacement surgery from a year ago. I was assured that my X-rays all look great, which coincides with how I feel. Dr. Winston and his staff are all very professional, personable and thorough. They are top notch in my book.
My experience with Dr. Winston was great. He explained very well my hand and wrist fracture and recommended care. Plus the stuff is very nice @ ORA.
Dr. Winston is a very caring doctor and as professional as you can get...He preformed surgery today on my hand and fingers to remove tophi ... Tophi is the whitish substance from gout ... Dr. Winston is also my doctor from my turn rotator cuff ...thank you Dr. Winston for helping this tired worn out body of mine ..to keep on running ... THANK>YOU
Very pleased with Dr Winston the and the staff of ORA and would recommend to anyone.
Dr. Winston is currently treating my pain in my thumb joint/arthritis. He is always very friendly, patient and thorough with explaining what is going on. The staff at ORA is always courteous too.
They did a great job on my rotor cup surgery!
Very nice and thorough doctor. Highly recommend
Dr.Winston always takes his time when I see him. He makes sure any of my questions are answered. He makes sure I understand all explanations.
First time experience was fantastic. Everyone makes you feel at home.
I have had The Best of Care for my surgery dr.winston is a great dr.very caring I would highly recommend him as a great ora dr.thank you very much dr.winston
Dr. Winston was amazing with my son Kasey. I am very thankful for ORA Orthopedics. Kasey fell on a Friday night and was seen in the ER in Clinton, Iowa. He was in so much pain over the weekend and MercyOne and his Orthopedic Surgeon from Medical Associates wouldn't do anything. He was seen at Genesis on a Sunday and was referred to ORA Orthopedics. They seen him the next day first thing in the morning. Dr. Winston and his staff were always Professional and compassionate about Kasey.
Dr Winston was awesome and very informative.
I have been dealing with an injury with my left thumb for almost a year when I was referred to Dr Watson. He gave me a very honest and in depth opinion concerning weather to have surgery or not. He ended up giving me a second steroid injection and it hurt less than when the first doctor did it as well as seems to be relieving some of the pain.
Dr. Winston is very professional and caring. He takes time to explain things. His staff is always ready to help.
I was seen by Dr. Winston shortly after my arrival. This was a follow-up visit. My carpal tunnel had been keeping me awake during sleeping hours with numbness and tingling in my hands and legs. He prescribed some cuffs I wear on my forearms at night and this has resolved my problem. I am glad to know if things would get worse..that surgery would be an option. He and his nurse are very friendly and I feel at ease with them. Thank-you,Dr.Winston! Linda L. Beckman
I had a very pleasant experience in Dr. Jonathan Winston, M.D's office. He's pretty thorough in his diagnostic on my Carpool tunnel syndrome. I'm excited to further seeing him for my recovery. Thank you for your caring concern in my recovery.
Dr.winston, you did a amazing job with my surgery, I have no pain and I am able to do things I couldn't, I appreciate it alot, I would definitely refer someone to you, you deserve a raise
Dr. Winston was amazing with my Tibial Plateau Fracture surgery and follow up appointments. The staff is friendly. I highly recommend ORA Orthopedics!
Dr Winston is is a very capable doctor. I’m very confident in his work. I was surprised to find out he specializes in the hand as I fractured the top of my tibia but he was so very impressive I didn’t mind. I will gladly keep going to him. It’s good to have see a doctor who can do more than one thing. You don’t find that very often anymore. Thank you Dr Winston
Excellent, thorough and efficient review of my issues and very sensible recommendations for care. Very happy with Dr. Winston.
Great Docter.
very friendly people. and right to the point on your concerns
Make you feel right at home clean and great smiles of comfort as soon as you enter
Dr. Winston is a God send. He listened to my concerns, calmed my nerves, explained every step of treatment and surgery to me thoroughly. On surgery day, same exact thing. I had cmc arthroplasty on my right thumb in 2019. It was a great success. So much so that I just had my left thumb done a couple weeks ago.
Dr Winston was very knowledgeable and professional. Right to the point with info. Very impressed would highly recommend.
On June 2nd I have my left shoulder replaced dr. Winston was my doctor and he is fantastic he listens to you prior to the surgery and he listens to you after the surgery I feel very well it's been approximately two and a half weeks since my surgery and I am doing very well I am a good patient I do what the doctor says and that's good because he tells me the right things to do to get better faster if I have any other surgeries I would not go to anyone else but him thank you
He is a good docs
Dr Winston and his staff were amazing with my 13 year old daughter. She was very nervous about what he might want her to do at her appointment and he was very accommodating of her concerns. She left happy and would definitely see him again.
I had never broken a bone prior to my fall last year. I was in shock and scared Dr. Winston explained what was broken and the procedure for the emergency surgery. I was very impressed with the care given at all the follow up visits by him and his team. I would highly recommend Dr. Winston for elbow injuries or surgery.
Explained the procedure and then completed the injection. He is knowledgeable. Would recommend this doctor.
very professional, and easy to communicate with.
Dr Winston was very informative and thorough
Dr Winston operated on my broken elbow, installing a plate and 8 screws to put it back together and help me return to an active life style !
Doing great, 7 months post op.
Dr. Winston was kind, courteous, and dedicated to helping me get back on my feet after I broke my ankle. He went the extra mile to consult with other doctors and specialists to make sure my recovery progress plan and xrays showed the best possible solutions for me and in the end helped me avoid having additional costly surgery. I was grateful to have him as my doctor.
I have a complex hand problem. He is thorough, and explains not only the issue , treatment plan, etc....but the exam and what that means. All questions are answered. One leaves the appointment feeling better about knowing that although this a long term problem, it comforting to know he is my physician. QCs fortunate to have him!!
Follow up to fall that broke arm
Understanding and quickly-scheduled, in the consultation, Dr. Winston explained sufficiently, albiet not exhaustively, the likely injury (lacerated pinkie tendon with other nerve damage) and the likely outcomes and timetable. He was very respectful and clearly knowledgeable if I had pressed him further. Prior to surgery, Dr. Winston appropriately eased my nerves on the actual severity of the injury and so far as I can tell, the operation went on without a hitch!
Dr Winston is very pleasant and was able to give treatment options and did answer our questions. The nurse was fine just not much she would do. The office staff is less than helpful which is why I would give a 4 for willingness to recommend.
Dr Winston did surgery on my broken wrist in Feb 2019 after a fall on ice. He explained everything so I could understand and was very patient. Having never broken a bone I had lots of questions about what to expect and if what I was dealing with was normal. He has continued to be available to me and just recently gave me a cortisone shot to relieve some pain I was having from the fall. When I was leaving after the shot he said in a couple hours I was not going to like him because the pain would come back and would gradually get better over the next 3 days while the medicine settles in. Then he said I would like him again. AND he was right. That’s what I like about him. He is very straight forward with what I am to expect after a treatment. Said he’d be around at ORA for another 30 years if I need him. Gotta like that!
Dr. Winston performed both of my surgeries, he genuinely cares about his patient's care. Post op visits are usually 10-15 minutes, listens to patient's concerns and needs, highly recommend.
Dr.Winston is a great doctor, he is very patient focused and genuinely cares for the best outcome and quality of life for his patients.I have personally been a patient of Dr. Winston's for 7 months now, and I know I am in good care.I would definitely recommend him to anyone with elbow, hand or shoulder issues. He has an excellent team that works with him as well.
Great staff
I went to see Dr. Winston about my finger. He diagnosed it as trigger finger and then told me my options to correct it. He was very professional and courteous.
Shoulder was giving me problems. Seen Dr. Winston and he diagnosed the condition. I had surgery and on the road through recovery and rehab. My shoulder can't feel better. Thanks Jonathan and his staff.
Dr Winston is a awesome doctor, and did a excellent job. Thank you
I had pain in my right wrist that was affecting my sports activities. Dr Winston diagnosed the problem, explained what had happened, gave me options and remedied the problem.
This is the second surgery that Dr. Winston has done for me. Both outcomes were very good. He’s a very skilled surgeon and does a great job of explaining options and procedures in layman‘s terms.
Very knowledgeable. Very friendly staff.
I had a emergency surgery for a infection in left index finger. The infection came out of nowhere. Dr. Winston located a piece of metal half way through second knuckle iduring surgery. The metal had apparently lodged there from a previous injury decades ago. I feel his ability to find this needle in a haystack saved my finger. I'm thankful for surgeons as Dr. Winston who've dedicated their lifes and skill to helping people in need.
Excellent Surgeon 25 September 2019 In April 2019 I was working on a project at my home when I cut off the end of my left thumb using a table saw. The cut looked terrible because it was cut on an angle, I wondered if it could be put back together. I was in shock, for over 50 years I had used a table saw without any problems. When something like this happens you feel so helpless and scared, so my wife and I prayed for help while waiting in the emergency room. I knew the help we had prayed for arrived when I met Dr. Winston from ORA in the ER. He was caring and professional. I remember Dr. Winston said the first time I meant him “It’s your lucky day, I’m a hand surgeon “… I liked his confidence, I needed that. After talking with Dr. Winston before surgery, I could tell he thought saving the end of my thumb was important, but he said he would need to look at the injury in surgery to see if it could be reattached. I felt good about that conversation, I was getting his best effort and he was giving me a fighting chance. Before surgery my wife and I felt comfortable with whatever resulted from the surgery, we had turned this over to God and Dr. Winston During surgery Dr. Winston was totally focused on my thumb, he said very little, except to communicate with the surgery nurses. The surgery was a success! Dr. Winston was able to reattach my thumb, and the thumb has healed very well. I have also had a lot of great Occupational Therapy from Sean Lyons at ORA. Even if my thumb had not reattached I would still highly recommend Dr. Winston, because he gives you everything he has, and that’s a lot of skill and kindness. Dr. Winston did my shoulder surgery. Have been seeing him for four months now and am very happy with professional care I am receiving. Explains everything and listens to any concerns or questions I might have. Would recommend him to anyone who might need the type of surgery I had. Very pleased.
Had rotator cuff repair with Dr Winston, he’s a great doctor/surgeon with a great personality. He fixed my shoulder in one surgery versus two and even better, very little pain afterwards. He explains things well and will even draw pictures to make sure you understand. I would definitely recommend Dr Winston.
