ORA Orthopedics/ Clinton Iowa was a great experience. Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. My nurse was fun and professional. X-ray was quick. Doctor Pokorney was in right after X-ray, no waiting. Doctor was pleasant and professional, down to earth, very approachable. Doctor took his time and explained the x-rays. I explained that my current leg braces were old and didn't fit properly and he said he would prescibe me new braces. We shook hands and he Sent in Amy the tech to measure my legs to fit me for the new braces. I couldn't have asked for a better visit, ORA Clinton is a well oiled machine. They treated me with respect. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Pokorney. I almost forgot there was no waiting at all. I was there for less than an hour.

I was referred to Dr Pokorney by my Dr that performed my total hip replacement. I’m still having some problems with my hip. Dr Pokorney came with a smile and ready to cover my issues. He explained a few issues he found and covered a some options, had the PA take fluid from hip to have it tested. I go back in 3 weeks to decide on which option I want to go forward with.

Dr Pokorney did X-rays and found out there was cement in my knee joint when I fell at my brother's 2 yrs ago and he did surgery and cleaned out the joint. He also removed a lot of scar tissue from previous surgeries and even a suture left inside my knee joint. He injected antibiotic right into the joint. I can actually walk on my leg without a lot of pain. He is an excellent doctor. He listened to me and made the right decision for me.

I had a 3-week follow-up appointment with Dr. Pokorney after I twisted my knee while gardening in a rocky area. It had been 3 - 4 years since I had last seen him for irritation with this knee. I felt like he had reviewed my x-rays and medical records before entering the exam room at my recent appt. He listened to my concerns with respect to what lies ahead with the health of my knee for an active senior.

Dr. Pokorney was concise and thorough in explaining the recommended surgical procedure and recovery. The questions I had were answered, and I was assured I could call if I had any other questions prior to surgery.

Dr Ryan Pokornry was highly recommended to see for knee replacement after 37yrs my first replacement has worn out no parts available, total replacement required with reassuring explanation of procedure will proceed, can’t go wrong with one South Dakotan to another friendly caring Dr.

Dr Pokorney was very attentive and helpful. I was able to walk again after the aspiration and injection within a few hours. I appreciated his kind and very knowledgeable approach. He discussed the exrays and offered suggestions without jumping to surgery as the best solution. Dr. P is very caring, professional and knowledgeable physician. Have been seeing him for several years for several surgeries, all successful, I might add. He performed a revision surgery on my hip, and did both robotic total knee replacements. I can certainly credit him with allowing me to walk more pain free and independently. He is currently helping me with bursitis treatment and has made referrals for physical therapy to assist with this condition. I feel very fortunate to have his service and expertise.

I always do my research extensively before I go to any doctor. I found Dr Ryan Pokorney to be the best. (In my opinion). I finally met him and still feel the same. His nurse is awesome also.

Went prepare for a knee replacement and left not needing one yet. Came up with a new plan to try. The gentleman that gave me the shot was awesome. Never felt a thing! Glad I sought him out.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr Pokorney. He took the time to explain why I need surgery and some alternatives if I was not ready for surgery. He is not ruling out surgery, just giving me more time to get ready mentally and physically. I appreciated him telling me I was not mentally ready and wants me to feel comfortable having this procedure done!

It was a very good experience, I had a left knee revision replace a spacer and it went very well went for my 6 week follow up and was released would definitely recommend!!

Dr. Pokorney is one of my health care heroes. He did both my left then right hip replacement surgeries. I was 9 mm short in my left leg prior to my surgery. Following my left hip replacement surgery, Dr. Pokorney restored 6 mm of the 9 I was short. After he completed my right hip replacement surgery, I am now level, both legs now being equal lengths. I no longer have to wear any heel lifts in my shoes to level me. My chiropractor says this will help stabilize my spine and pelvis having both legs equal in length. Thank you Dr. Pokorney, you are my hero.

Dr. Pokorney is a very pleasant doctor to work with. He listens and answers questions. There aren't many of those around anymore. I have full trust that he will perform my surgery correctly.

My experience at ORA for my recent hip replacement revision was outstanding. Dr. Pokorney explained in detail what was needed and what to expect after the surgery. Dr. Pokorney's confidence reduced my anxiety, and boy did his team deliver with outstanding care prior to surgery and following surgery. Immediately following surgery physical therapy began and I chose ORA Physical Therapy in Moline. David Carius served as my PT and my recovery went much faster than I expected. I feel truly blessed to have access to such amazing healthcare professionals.

I am a 45 year old with chronic pain, grinding and popping in my left knee. The ORA walk in clinic team ordered a MRI right away and scheduled me to see Dr Pokorney soon thereafter to go over results. In my two post MRI appts with Dr Pokorney he has thoroughly reviewed the images with me showing me where arthritis has worn away cartilage and the “defect” of bone on bone exists. For treatment he tried a more conservative route first which was a steroid injection. When, after three months, the injection failed to bring relief, Dr Pokorney confidently dictated that a partial knee replacement would be the best solution. I trust his expertise and bedside manner. I will be having that surgery later this fall.

Definitely the best if not one of the best. Had him do my surgery 7 and 1/2 years ago and all of a sudden developed some discomfort so I chose to get his opinion. After films he came in and told me what was going on and treated me. Oh, I forgot to mention, they are awesome to their patients and even though I hadn't seen them for that period of time they still remembered me. My trust is with him 100%.

Dr Pokorney had X-rays taken and showed me them when he came in. He suggested a steroid injection and his PA Daniel Barger gave me the injection. My knee feels better for the moment.

I’ve had 2 surgeries from Dr. Pokorney and my experience has with him and his staff has been great! From the receptionist to nursing staff, everyone works hard to make you feel comfortable.

There is NOBODY in the QC I will see for my knee issues. He and his staff are EXCELLENT and the best I have ever experienced in the years of seeing Orthopedic Physicians. Highly recommend!
