Summer vacation is coming to a close and the start of the fall semester is right around the corner. While it is bittersweet to see the sun setting earlier in the evening, we love the excitement that comes with the arrival of the fall sports season.
At ORA, our Sports Medicine Physicians are preparing to take the field alongside our local athletes and athletic trainers. They are incredibly proud to serve as the Team Physicians for all of the professional, collegiate, and high school teams in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities.
To show their appreciation for the athletic trainers that serve our local high schools, they host an annual ATC Kick-Off event to meet and get to know the athletic trainers as well as thank them for their dedication to caring for our injured athletes.

This year’s ATC Event had a strong turnout. The physicians and Athletic Trainers had an opportunity to connect and dialog about the upcoming sports season. Thanks to Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Andrew Bries, for being the grill master for this ATC Kickoff event.
It is fantastic to come together to recognize the Athletic Trainers and how important they are to our schools, coaches, team physicians, and parents. They tirelessly work well before the game begins and long after the game ends to ensure that our student athletes are safe.
The Sports Medicine Center of Excellence at ORA Orthopedics is here to help athletes of all ages and performance levels return to active lifestyles following an injury. Contact ORA today to learn more or schedule your next appointment.
