Dr. Collazo was punctual and professional. He handed me a copy of my foot X-rays and explained that I have exceptionally high arches in both feet. He described what part of the foot has difficulty in cases of Plantar Fasciitis. He informed me that my foot symptoms may or may not be related to my lower back issues. He examined both of my feet thoroughly and located my pain points. He gave me choices for a steroid injection to my foot or a prescription for oral steroids. He informed me that the night time foot brace I have been using has been known to restrict blood flow to the ankle and foot. That is exactly what I experienced on my left foot when wearing it. I was fitted with daytime wrap around straps on both feet and they feel great after one day. I was given a list of shoe stores, recommended shoe brands and arch supports. Eight of the shoe brands were designed specifically for people like me with high arches. I went straight to a shoe store and bought a pair of shoes and arch supports from the list. They have already made a difference in improving my mobility. Not only is Dr. Collazo an excellent podiatrist who takes an interest in his patients, the support staff around him is fantastic. - Ben F. - 3 months ago
