Dupuytren’s Contracture Treatment in the Quad Cities
DUPUYTREN’S CONTRACTURE
At ORA Orthopedics, the latest advances in Dupuytren’s contracture treatment are available to residents of Moline, IL, Davenport, IA, Bettendorf, IA, and surrounding communities.
Dupuytren’s contracture develops slowly over the course of several years. Most commonly seen in men over the age of 60, this hand condition is characterized by the thickening of fibrous tissue underneath the skin of the fingers and palm. Over time, cords of thickened tissue can develop in the palm and force the fingers (usually the ring finger and pinky) to pull inward, rendering everyday actions like shaking hands and gripping a steering wheel more difficult.
ORA’s fellowship-trained experts at our Hand & Wrist Center of Excellence make highly specialized orthopedic care easily accessible to countless families throughout the Quad Cities, while maintaining a commitment to helping patients overcome their pain and get back to the activities they love.
ORA Orthopedics offers both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options for Dupuytren’s contracture. As an ORA patient, rest assured you will receive personalized, compassionate care from one of our experienced hand specialists, who will carefully evaluate your condition and outline treatment options. Some patients with this condition are able to benefit from conservative approaches including occupational hand therapy and collagenase enzyme injections, while others may be better candidates for surgical treatment options.

I’m glad she was there to help me out with a path forward while I waited to see Dr. Hussein. I’m sorry I squeezed hand - Gary N. - 2 months ago
